papers faqs etc These are assorted writings faqs and miscellaneous other stuff i wanted to put up somewhere for others to reference when necessary. All of these are in BETA, which means they are not final drafts, have typos, mistakes, mistatements of facts, posible plagerism, and other such problems. But they do the job of explaining a few things i wanted to say or have been asked about.

ADR In High-tech Copyright Disputes.pdf - This is a discussion of why it possibly a bad idea to settle cases concerning copyright when high technology is at issue (ie. p2p networks, mp3s, divx, ect.)

I Want My Mp3.pdf - This discusses the legal issues that arise when you place your mp3 collection online for your own use.

Pitch Protection.pdf - This is an early draft of an article i later co-wrote for publication. It discusses the methods one might use protect a client from idea theft when pitching a story to a producer.

The Intellectual Property Puzzle.pdf - This is a short discussion of mp3.com technology and potential futures for digital distribution.

The Internet Steps to the Beat of a Different Drum.pdf - This is a in depth analysis of the mp3.com case that was published by the California Western School of Law IP website.

Introduction to Copyright.pdf -This is a draft of an article prepared for The Action Sports Law Group website and news letter that briefly explains how copyright works. It was written for a snowboard companies perspective.

It is Time to Compete with Free.pdf -This is a draft of paper I prepared for a Software and Internet Law class while completing my LLM in Entertainment and Mass Media Law. It gives a brief overview of the current problems and inconsistencies facing copyright law, particularly with respect to p2p systems. And further makes the case that economic competition with piracy is not only possible, but presents significant advantages over litigation and legislation at this point in time.

Device v Service.pdf - Medical Expert Systems are they a regulated device or an unregulated service. I argue it all depends on your perspective. And if you chose service, you could save millions on trials for FDA approval.
